For a very long time, I wanted to merge multiple wordpress categories into one. But did not know how to do it. Usually if you delete a category, the posts are automatically assigned to the “Default WordPress Categoty” and you do not have any option to where to movie the posts. Now with the “Category Merge” wordpress plugin, you can easily do it. Fully compliant with WordPress 2.7+. Always back up your database before you merge your categories. Get the nice plugin by Matt Gibs. Even if you are not planning to merge categories, keep the plugin in mind. It may be very useful to many of you in future.
